Turntable fix

In Trainz 2004, and sometimes in Trainz 2006, third-party models of turntables exhibit the weird 'dsappearing track' glitch. When the turntable is rotated then spline track attached to the turntable disappears until the rotation is complete. While the image of the track disappears it is evident that the track itself is still in place as any rolling stock on the 'disappearing track' is unaffected. The fix/workaround is very straightforward.

1. Place the turntable as usual.

2. Add very short lengths of spline track to each of the turntable's stopping points.

3. Add some stubfix pieces, available here: disappearing track' fix stub - 3ft TT stubfix.

4. Place a stubfix at the outer end of each of the lengths of spline track, adjusting them(move, rotate) until they are correctly positioned and the pieces of spline track are only one or two sleepers long.

5. Add spline track to the outer end of the stubfix and carry on laying track as usual.

So, to summarise, moving outwards place: turntable - short length of spline track - stubfix - more spline track.

This glitch does not seem to affect Trainz Classic (tested on TC3). I haven't got round to checking in Trainz 2009 or 2010EE so if anyone has had a go please let me know.
